Password Protect PDF — free, private, in your browser
Encrypt a PDF with a real password using native 128-bit PDF encryption. Unlike iLovePDF or Smallpdf, nothing is uploaded: the processing happens on your own device, so the tool works even with the Wi-Fi off.

Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. CommandEditor runs entirely in your browser with WebAssembly — your file never leaves your device. You can verify it: open your browser's network inspector, or switch off Wi-Fi after the page loads; the tool still works.
Is this real encryption?
Yes — the PDF Standard Security Handler (RC4 128-bit), the same scheme Acrobat uses. The file is genuinely encrypted, not just flagged. You can restrict printing, copying and editing too.
